There's a revolution in the air and those on the Western front are Vittoria...

Graphene is the new kid in town and has been causing quite a stir, it's relatively inexpensive, flexible and most importantly it's strong. So, why have Vittoria been working with Graphene? The answers fairly simple really, the benefits are huge! Graphene has a huge surface area, it is unbelievably strong, it's less dense and very elastic. Really there's nothing not to love about Graphene.

Vittoria have been working with only the purest form of Graphine in the development of their new range of tyres.  Handily known as Pristine Graphene,  it offers 4 to 6 times greater improvement in the material it is applied to in comparison to other forms of Graphene; for example carbon for wheels, rubber for tyres .   With these developments they have created a new product range called Intelligent Tire System (IT'S), these are new "intelligent" tyre compounds that become harder and softer, depending on the needs of the rider. If the rubber is rolling straight then the rubber is at it's hardest and offers low rolling resistance. If the rider brakes, accelerates or corners then the compounds soften to offer more grip.

Prior to the development of Graphine tyres there has always had to be a compromise between optimising or aiming at speed, grip, durability and puncture protection. All of these factors are now being rolled into one tyre... the future is looking bright, lightweight and very puncture resistant!

See us in store for more detail on this exciting development in the world of rubber!

Oh, the first person to buy a pair of these from us was one ex-pro by the name of David Millar!
