Transition mountain bikes
Based in Washington State and owned by riders, Transition have forged a big reputation in the 15 years that they've been making bikes. One of the world leaders in hardcore frame design, we're happy to say that their frames are now lighter and stronger than ever with world leading handling to boot. Coming with a range of build kits, a Transition frame is also perfect for a custom build!
The new kid on the Transition block. A long travel, long wheelbase 29er that features Transitions new SBG (Speed Balance Geometry), this basically means longer wheelbase, slacker head angles, longer reach amongst other fine tuning. What this equates to for you is better stability, increased confidence, improved traction and better climbing characteristics. Boost dropout spacing, Enduro Max sealed bearings, 180mm post mount brake and tire clearance for up to 29 x 2.5.
The new and updated Patrol from Transition is the ultimate Enduro/All Mountain bike long, low and slack means super-fast furious descents yet it still climbs exceptionally well. New for 2018 is Transitions new SBG (Speed Balanced Technology). This basically means longer wheelbase, slacker head angles, longer reach amongst many other fine tunings. What this equates to for you is better stability, increased confidence, improved traction and better climbing characteristics. The Patrol has increased the travel for the 2018 model, with the highly with a whopping 170mm of travel. At the rear, there is the 160mm travel RockShox Deluxe RT which is as good at climbing as it is at descending. This is an active and carefully tuned suspension that can take on pretty much everything.
With short travel, a burly frame and aggressive geometry, the Smuggler will eat most UK black runs as well as being a great climber and happy to be ridden all day. With 115mm rear and 130mm front, the travel only tells a small part of the story with the Smuggler. The geometry is similar to that of a slack Enduro bike and, although shorter on travel, the 29er wheels make it capable on just about any kind of ride. Other features include Boost dropout spacing, Enduro Max sealed bearing, a threaded BB, Moulded rubber downtube and chainstay protection and tire clearance up to 29" x 2.5.
New and updated for 2018, the Scout has an increased travel for better trail performance. Now boasting 150mm of travel up front and 130mm at the rear, the Scout has really upped it's game! Also new for 2018 is Transitions new SBG (Speed Balanced Technology). This means longer wheelbases, slacker head angles, longer reach as well as other fine tuning. What this means for you is better stability, increased confidence, improved traction and improved climbing characteristics. The Scout also features Boost dropout spacing, a threaded BB and tire clearance up to 27 x 2.8 as well as now being available in X-Small sizing!
Despite it's lightweight carbon construction, the Throttle is the most aggressive trail hardtail Transition have ever made. Designed to blur the lines between a trail bike and a dirt jump bike, the Throttle doesn't feel out of place stopping for a DJ session on the way home from a trail ride. The Throttle combines the fun playful feel of Transitions GiddyUp line with the efficiency of a carbon hardtail. A truly unique bike, the Throttle is the evolution of Transition hardtail frames. The Throttle comes with a user friendly 73mm threaded BB, progressive geometry- long, low and slack and will fit tires up to 2.6"... It's one hell of a hardtail!
You wouldn't thin that Transition would make any old hardtail 29er, would you? Nope, they went and made the Vanquish... A natural progression from Tansitions popular TransAM 29er model, you'll crush your friends on the climb and you won't have any issues on the descent either. Smooth and light carbon frame with the aggressive frame geometry that Transition have had years to perfect. The Vanquish might be the closest thing to an XC bike that they've ever done, but the Transition spirit shows through and this bike still likes to party.
