They're noted for taking a unique approach to geometry, designed to inspire confidence regardless of the conditions or terrain you're riding on, they're legions of loyal fans certainly love their bikes, come in and join the Whyte revolution!
S-150 S, C RS & C WORKS
For 2018 Whyte have given us a new trail shredder in the form of the S-150! The S-150 was built unashamedly around the SRAM Eagle concept. With Eagle tech now available at GX level the S-150 S makes the most of the huge 500% gear range - both in the speed it climbs and the ability to get pedal strokes in, as well as a big top gear for the descents. The S-150 features Whytes latest generation geometry, 150mm of travel and 29er wheels make this trail bike fast and controllable in every situation. A wide main pivot with oversize hardware is a perfect way to get the power down. So, what's the S stand for, I hear you cry... S stands for Switch - the ability to fit 650b wheels with 2.8" tyres and still have UK levels mud clearance. Whyte wheel kits are ready to switch into your bike in the time it takes to go back to your car and change the Eagle cassette.
G-160S & RS
The G-160 is a long slack Enduro bike of the finest kind. A steady climber with a lightening fast descent while being agile and stable whilst at that speed. The RS in the RS model simply stands for Reverb Stealth. This model comes with very wide rims and therefore tyres, for additional grip and stability as well as being tubeless ready. The 1X specific specific frame and these benefits means a great value bike for both the standard and the RS model.
T-130 S, RS & C WORKS
The T130 redefines the do-anything mountain bike category and has reaped the perfect scores and bike of the year awards to prove it. When Whyte introduced their full stretch, maximum control Enduro geometry and stiff yet light carbon mainframe options to the T130 a few years ago, they pulled the pin on a truly explosive performance mix, that blew the competition off the trails. Light and efficient enough to hang with the fastest race crowd all day long and punch up climbs like an e-Bike. Tough and controlled enough to tackle the most brutal black runs. But most of all, so impeccably balanced, perfectly composed and blisteringly fast that it rewrote not just what you could expect from a 130mm Trail bike, but what you could expect from yourself.
The T-130 range are price killers, come in and check them out for yourselves!
T-129 S & RS
T-129 is in a similar category to the T-130 but goes about things in a different manner - it's a 29er, with 120mm travel... See what they've done there? Less travel, bigger wheels, same intention. Those big 29er wheels mean that the T-129 is simply able to roll over stuff that would leave the T-130 bouncing. The T-129 offers a poise and grip that makes it a smooth and easy bike to ride. The 2016 model sees a longer reach on the frame, shorter stem and mega short chain stays which make for a super playful 29er!
901, 905 & 909
The 901 is possibly the most aggressive production hard tail out, but adds a good level of comfort to it's tough, lightweight frame. You'll outpace full sus bikes downhill whilst the 901 makes climbs a piece of cake, there's not much this little number can't do!
The 905 is Whyte's best selling hard tail. You'll get a upgrade on forks, Shimano SIX, brakes and a dropper...There's nothing not to love there. For 2016 we see a brand new 905rs launched by Whyte. This version utilises from the SRAM 1x11 groupset and the new RockShox Yari RC fork. Don't panic, you still get all of the usual 905 good stuff! The 909 sees you basically get more of pretty much everything. More upgrades, more kit, more fun!
801, 802, 805 & 806
The 8 series features another great, light and well rounded frame where the internal cable routing is a really neat feature and shows that this is much more than a bare bones MTB! The 802 features a more compact geometry to suit the female rider, without substituting any handling, comfort or possible fun that can be had on the bike. The 802 features an air sprung fork and tubeless ready tyres plus better Shimano finishing kit.
603, 604 & 605
The 6 series offers the rider a more stable and upright geometry than much of the other Whyte ranges. At home on the trails of the Peak District, a 6 series won't let you down. The 604 is a compact version of the 603 which will suit a female rider down to the ground! The 605 sees an upgrade in brakes and suspension fork.
529 & 629
Want to eat trail centres for tea and spit them out before dinner? Well Whyte's hardtail 29 range may just be for you! Whether you’re a bigger rider or just into bigger mileages and higher speeds nothing can match 29er wheels for making tough trails easy and long climbs effortless. What makes the 529 and 629 bikes totally different is that they teamed these advantages with their award winning Trail Geometry to let you take that extra speed and efficiency onto the toughest, most technical trails. 120mm travel through-axle forks, Getta Grip clamps for instant full seat drop, chainstay mounted brakes for a smoother ride and either Shimano 2x10 or SRAM 1x11 gearing using our smooth BBX internal routing make these naturally high velocity rides massively versatile too. So whether you’re racing, using your skills to hunt thrills or heading far into the hills there’s a very big advantage to be gained by thinking big when you think
29CS & 29C Team
Essentially the X29'S big brother, carbon frames, internal cable routing and top end finishing kit. All of this combine to make the 29C range fast...seriously fast! Hit the trails on one of these and you'll be flying. Are you an XC race? This is the bike you want.
403 & 405
Whyte have downsized everything except the performance so you can start them right with a Whyte. The 405 set a whole new standard for junior MTB performance and the new 403 makes the gift of a truly great kids bike more affordable. A specific lightweight tubeset - not just sawn off versions of adult pipes - shrinks climbs and puts a tailwind into every ride. Whyte have downsized their maximum confidence Trail geometry and fitted air sprung forks that properly work for lighter pilots so their rides are full of thrills not spills. SRAM GX or Shimano single ring transmissions gives simple, instinctive, sequential shifts but still have the gears for every climb and a chainset sized for shorter legs. Even the spoke count has been stripped down on the 26in wheels and fitted the same grippy front, fast rear tyre combinations as our full sized trail bikes, so they’re fast and fun, and make every adventure easier.
