Crayke, Brandsby, Yearsley
Thu 23rd July 2020
NEW for 2020. This course starts south of Crayke at the junction with the Stillington road. There is a large layby which, if not full of gravel, is a great place to park. The first couple of km is a long drag up into Crayke followed by a fast downhill section for a km but then the uphill stuff starts again. Another long drag to brandsby and then Yearsley Bank which is 70m of climbing at 9%, ouch. Then flat through Yearsley and then super fast descent down Milking Hill. At the bottom of the descent there is a ford which is normally dry, but after a lot of rain can be quite deep. The rest is gently rolling until you get to the final climb into Crayke which is sharp and steep.
