Sheriff, Whenby, Brandsby

Thu 23rd May 2019
12.50 miles
Rolling
This is one of the most popular courses on beautiful (if you have time to look) roads through Whenby, Brandsby and Stillington. It is not too technical either with easy left-hand turns and only one T-junction in Brandsby to deal with, but even this has good visibility. The biggest hill is towards the end of the course from Farlington, it's not particularly steep but is long and has a couple of false summits - so keep pushing. Setting a good tempo is important with little bursts of effort to keep the momentum over each hill seems to work well. *** Note recent surface dressing may make the first 1/2 mile a little precarious, particularly the first left-hand turn. ***
