A few of you have been out and about (relatively) locally in the last week or so.

Matthew Eastwood - aka "Amateur" toed the line at Round 2 of the Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross Association Summer League at Holmfirth on Wednesday. On an evening when things could have gone a little better for him, our man Amateur performed a lightening quick puncture repair having arrived at the the start and discovered he had punctured riding to the start. Joining the field shortly after the start, he powered through to a creditable 14th place in AG and 71st overall. Top effort given the start to the evening.

At the Clifton Cycling Club Thursday Evening Time Trial Series, Clube members Mark Pinky Laughton, Rebecca Bland and Mike Jeffrey all put in decent performances on the rolling 12.5 mile Sherrif Hutton, Whenby, Brandsby course, all finishing within 30 seconds of each other, completing the course on a windy evening in well under 40 minutes.

Its worth remembering that York Cycleworks will be hosting next week's Thursday Evening Time Trial on the fast Wheldrake 10 mile course.

As always we'd be grateful of any help anyone could offer on the night (from about 7pm) but its always great to see people flying the flag for us in the race itself. Thanks to those people who have already offered their help.

That's all for now - keep the results (and pictures if you can) coming.

Tailwinds Always!
